It's on the Ballot!!!. . . I really like this, but[More:] I am sitting here wondering if a very conservative city, say Phoenix or Houston (to grab a couple names out of the air) voted to put a liberal's name on a sewage treatment plant, how I, or other liberals would feel.
I hate it.

If I worked at a state of the art environmental facility I'd be really unpleased that some dude who has nothing to do with my employer or me decided to change the name to something so disagreeable for us.

Seems like the time spent organizing this could have spent doing something a little more meaningful than what amounts to little more than a teenage prank.

If it was the George W. Bush Memorial Sewage Treatment Plant, the world would be a better place by one.

It seems backwards to me. The George W. Bush Sewage Generating Plant would make sense to me. But he's not been doing much to clean up other people's messes, which I think goes to birdie's point, in a way.
