Happybun! OMG! Plus 3-point update.→[More:]

1. I've been to the hairdresser and not only is my hair darker than normal thanks to the base colour I used (light mid-brown it said on the box) turning out to be dark brunette, it is also quite a bit shorter than I've worn it in years.

*frets: will he like it? will he like it? will he like it?*

2. I'm snacking on three different cheeses - Cheddar, Edam and Brie - for lunch.
I ♥ cheese.

3. I'm sending out my CV to a wicked job I've seen advertised. It's not via an agency, and I'm hoping my intro letter will get me an interview.

Does that bun actually have pink cheeks?!

1. I need to get my hair cut but am scared. I miss my hairdresser. I haven't let anyone but her (or me) cut my hair in about fifteen years. Jan, your hair sounds nice! Pics, please!

2. I am lazy. Really lazy. Trying to get motivated to do just one thing on my huge to-do list. But I want to lay around in my sweatpants and watch TV.

3. Job search scary. *puts pillow over head* Send cheese.

1. I need a haircut and will let someone at Supercuts hack it off for $15 plus tip. I keep hoping to go bald but I'm almost 44 and it hasn't happened yet.

2. Trying to finish up all my work before vacation.

3. Maybe, just maybe, the contractors will finish our bathroom this week. (just in time for us to leave the state).

1. Discouraged, burnt, tired, and defeatist.

2. Fed up with landlord and his %$#& projects that interrupt me and invade privacy. Reasonable people my age own their own houses and don't deal with this #%#$ (they just deal with contractors who do the same. But still - there's a semblance of control).

3. Need something to hope for and look forward to.

1. I could use a complete hairstyle makeover but I have no idea how it should be. My hair is very curly and therefore tricky.

2. My sister is coming to visit from Florida. We are planning a trip to Matinicus Island on Sunday.

3. I ate Kashi-super-protein cereal for breakfast this morning. Mmmmmm, protein . . . .

1. Hungrified by all this talk of cheese. Either cheddar, gruyere and crackers or leftover risotto with extra parmesan for lunch. OMNOMNOM. Having no gallbladder rocks hard, as does mysteriously losing 8lb since surgery despite eating loads.

2. Hoping the rain in Wimbledon stops soon.

3. Mysteriously attracted to every man I see at the moment (currently Federer, Ancic, Henman, Becker, McEnroe). Must be a time of the month thing.. Rawr.

1. Still soaring after spectacular improv set last night - both teams I played with were blazing away to a packed house.

The first team was a group of newbies who had never done improv, or been on stage before (they were part of a Foundations of Improv class our regular team offers), and they totally held their own!

2. Craving doing some serious writing in my journal - I haven't made any time for it lately and I feel almost constipated as a result.

3. One of my oldest and dearest friends (from 7th grade!) is in town from California, and I'm looking forward to going to visit with her on Silver Lake where's she's staying.

1. Also need a haircut! Also moderately curly, which poses a challenge when all the stylists want to give me a chic razor cut suitable for sleek straight hair, which on me will turn into a mass of raggedy cowlicks.
2. Not hungry for cheese. The sticky weather has me craving big bowls of salad, popsicles, and smoothies. This is good.
3. NEED NEW DRESS. I plan to kvetch about this at length, but not today.

1. I'm nearing the end of this project and I'm starting to get the anstyness that comes with that.

2. It has been OBSCENELY slow at work today. Seriously, I've been sitting on my ass since around 10am. That is so not cool.

3. I'm feeling the need for some OMNOMNOM but I don't ever take lunch until after the boss leaves.

1. I have had a sore throat since Memorial Day weekend and I'm always tired and now my neck hurts and it is all very ominous.

2. I spent the morning lost in Jersey City. If one is going to put directions on a website, one should at least ensure that they are at least close to correct.

3. I never really understood waterboarding until I read that Christopher Hitchens article and watched the video.

1. Funny, but I'm chilly. I even turned up the temp to shut off the air, and I'm still chilly.

2. Mr. V is back on his oral chemo, and feeling a bit fatigued.

3. I'm watching four or five hummingbirds chasing each other around outside. For heaven's sake, guys, I hung up another feeder, so share!
