A new use for clearasil! (Sorry, it's totally clean and boring, not to mention a little kinda gross).
→[More:]So I woke up last night with this terrible itching on my left hand. I thought it was dry skin until I went to the bathroom to look for some lotion. What did I see? Mosquito bites! One between my pinkie and my ring finger, the other between my middle and index finger!
Oh crap, how was I going to stop the itching? How was I going to get any sleep? I'd already made the mistake of scratching them like crazy, so they were all red and inflamed! What was I to do?
I knew we had an old bottle of caladryl-like stuff sitting around somewhere, so I tore through all of our old-medicine drawers. Nothing.
Then I had this crazy idea -- if clearasil works on puffy, red, inflamed, and sometimes itching acne, maybe it would work on these mosquito bites too.
Call it the placebo effect if you will, but the itching calmed down as soon as the cool cream touched my skin. After a few minutes, the itching subsided completely, and I quickly fell back asleep. When I woke up, there was only a faint impression of one the bites, and the other had disappeared completely.
So if you're ever in a dire situation such as mine, and you happen to have a half-used tube of clearasil sitting around, don't despair -- there may be cause for hope.
