Punchy Now Okay, I've been up for 12 hours and at work for almost 10 of those.→[More:]And I had an espresso over ice with lots of sugar half an hour ago. I just titled something "infinitely clever door prize box cover" and found my own suggestion on the Buy a Geode Stand sign that people "Display Your Geode Professionally!" extremely hilarious - as in, professional geode displayer here, hee hee hee. I'm probably past the point of no return and the new membership forms I'm about to create aren't going to go well, are they?

Also, the amber lady didn't show up. Oddly enough, yesterday I printed 500 programs that were missing the amber lady, so I tossed them into the recycling and made 500 more. Now I get to pull them out. My typos tell the future!

Tell me stories of punchiness that I probably won't read until tomorrow because, ack, gotta do that membership form!

I have no stories, mgl, though I've been there many times. Hang in there!

My work situation is... bizarre. We have a couple of ludicrous deadlines looming, and everyone is milling around like chickens in a chickenhouse. Nobody knows what's going on. I'm just guessing what I should do next and am proceeding like I know what I'm doing. I do have to work this weekend, too, so I feel your pain there.

What's the "event" at your museum causing all this chaos? If you've said, I've missed it. Some kinda open house or something, from the sound of it?

Gem Fest! Admire the groundbreaking use, there, of the marquee tag. I'm going to HTML hell. The general heinousity of the website though isn't entirely my fault. It was designed by a volunteer lo these many years ago and that same volunteer locked the template and, okay, all I do is change the content. A complete redesign is on the list.

Heh... I didn't even see the marquee text until I turned NoScript off. Hey, these rocks aren't going to speak for themselves- it good to see you're going at it with no holds barred!

I do remember you talking about this event now, but I didn't realize this was the big weekend. What's the proper "good luck" greeting for a rock and mineral show... "break a leg" doesn't seem right. How about, "Get cracked!" Like a geode, see?
