That is the very definition of awesome.

MGL, I actually like that first photo -- it captures the live X experience very well, I think, with Billy grinning in the corner like a very calm madman and John tearing it up next to Exene.

I saw your pictures and was excited. This is extra cool!

(Then I thought, wow, I am old. X (opening for Oingo Boingo) was the first non-jazz concert I went to without my Dad. It was at least 20 years ago.)

I took some cameraphone pics in Boston, but haven't downloaded them yet. What did you guys think of Detroit Cobras?

The Detroit Cobras were okay - nice stompy, rave-up-ey, Sun-Records-45's-Played-At-78 stuff that I'm sure would have sounded a lot better after several PBRs. They had a shitty sounding mix, though (is there a law requiring the opening band to have shitty sound?), or else they would have been better.
