The Domain Registration Addict is trying to cut down. So I'm not renewing "metacats.com", expiring on the 29th. If anyone here would like to have it for free (plus the registration renewal), let me know.

i don't understand you.
Don't you realize you could be using that money for charity, drugs, or food? Or charity drug food? Buy me a brownie?

i would run metacats but they have to bring their own charity drug food money.

Um... I feel a strange and pressing need for metacats.com, although I can't promise I would actually use it anytime soon, and I can never promise its powers would not be used for evil.

But maybe I'm being irrational. If anyone has a definite plan for metacats, they deserve it more.

On the other hand, a cat is rubbing its face on my hand as I try to type this.

I propose that the metacat.com site be exclusively devoted to images of cats made out of images cats. That would really rule.

Meanwhile metachat.com still lives in the hands of domain squatters. They've just renewed. I shall continue to offer them stupidly small and hopefully annoying amounts of money for the domain, although the creation of metachat for myspace makes me worry that they'll hang on to it until they get their 7000 pieces of silver.

oh gawd that's annoying seanyboy, there's a domain I'd really like to own and I've offered big bucks for it - but they guys insisted that he needed it. He doesn't use the domain for a website, so possibly for mail. But then I found it on an auction-domain site for 5000 USD (smallest possible bid) waiting for bidders and I got really annoyed. Since then he's also got the .biz, the .net, the .org and everything else BUT the .tv and .eu. I have no idea what he wants to do with it. (It's been since 1999 so that's almost ten years too.)
