I have a job interview! Yay! [More:]

The pros:

* The office is less than a mile from me, and is very casual. They told me not to dress up for the interview.

* There are three cats in the office.

* A good chunk of the job would use my skills, while another chunk involves packing/shipping boxes. Sometimes it's nice not to edit all day.

The cons:

* Packing and shipping boxes.

* No idea what it pays. I'm concerned that it doesn't pay enough for me to live on. This part scares me, because the rest sounds good.

Anyhow, at least someone finally called me back. I don't feel so broken anymore.

Yay pup! *crosses fingers*

Packing and shipping isn't all that bad, really. It can be a bit mindless at times, but if you think of it as an opportunity for paid meditation, it's a bonus.

Go get 'em!

YAY!

Packing and shipping can be fun, though I've mostly done envelope-stuffing rather than actual boxes. But I've always found it conducive to productive daydreaming.

Also, cats!

I will send good interview (and good salary!) vibes your way!

Shipping cats is hard! By the time you turn to grab the packing tape, they've leaped out of the box and are taking their revenge on our scalp. But after all your excellent work living among the chickens, I'm sure you're up to the task.

Go get 'em pups!

Yes!

I love unpacking our supplies at work and putting them away. It looks like I'm doing something productive. I always liked it when the floor was short and I was offered to be the secretary or nurses aide instead of a nurse. It didn't happen regularly, but I was always very happy when it did.

I hope you get it!

And you're not broken, silly.

You may not be broken, but break a leg! (Not literally, because then you really would be broken, and probably wouldn't get the job.)
