I need of some sort of filter for boingboing→[More:]

Is there any way I can filter out certain posts that contain certain phrases? I'm so sick of reading about Cory Doctorow's book(s), but sometimes he makes decent posts to the site. Sometimes. I'd love to be able to filter out posts that contain words like "steampunk" (he's killing it for me) and "little brother" (that fucking book he won't let us forget he wrote).

Could this be done in a greasemonkey script or something?

I agree.

Greasemonkey's a pain though. Someone needs to set up a website called "Boing" that screenscrapes it but filters out the self-promotion and steampunk.

Why oh why are they still going on about bloody steampunk. "The Difference Engine" came out in 1991: since then the concept has been getting steadily more tedious...

BoingBoing's a cult of personality, and always a week late with everything. Try reading popurls; it's an aggregate aggregate. BoingBoing's on there, but it's just the headlines, so you don't have to read Doctorow's terrible prose.

I finally spoke up in another damn post about his book, and I made sure to be civil and polite and all that, but the Nazi Moderator Takuan still deleted my original comment. WHAT WOULD CORY "FREE SPEECH/ANTI CENSORSHIP" DOCTOROW SAY!?

The good thing is, it pretty much opened the doors for a lot people to politely express their displeasure at seeing so many little brother posts, including one person who allegedly even bought and read the book. So that's always good.

I know nobody will see this, but some benevolent soul created two greasemonkey scripts for getting rid of Little Brother related posts on BoingBoing, EXACTLY what I had asked for!
I'm glad I saw the comment when I did, because after I posted a comment of thanks, the comment had been deleted! DUM DUM DUM.
