I noticed the other day that we were coming up on three years and then completely forgot about it. Wow, it almost seems like yesterday and yet it seems like I've known some of you forever.
taz and seanyboy (and let's not forget dodgygeezer, who kick-started a lot of this), thanks a million. Seriously. You've given us a place to hang out, a place to vent, a place to get advice and a place to let our hair down and be ourselves without a bunch of judgements being thrown at us or expectations for us to fail to live up to. Most of all, though, you have given many of us a second family, one made up of people we like and respect. A place to call home when the rest of the world seems intent on doing us harm. Our place.
I don't know how I heard of Mecha through Mefi, but I'm glad I made it over not too long after it started. It's remained as a clean, well lighted place, to copy a phrase. Thanks to everyone who's been involved with keeping it going, and YAY!
I was a late(r) adopter, coming in in the fall of '05, but I have to say that the time I've been here was certainly well spent, every moment of it. Thanks so much to all the mods for making MeCha such a wonderful place. Whuffles and Dingle all 'round!
This is a great place, with some of the best people I'd ever hope to meet. I can't wait to visit here and listen to all of you. Thanks for making this such a wonderful place.
