ChapStick is very good for those cracks you get in your fingertips in the winter. As far as scurvilicious buccaneers, I have yet to find a single soul who will dress as a lady pirate for me (on Halloween or otherwise.) Working on that...

And I've realized what a Wine idiot I am. The last good "oil" I enjoyed was a $3.50 sweetened, blackberry-flavored wine I bought from Marc's because it was cheaper than Japanese plum wine. To the wine connoisseurs out there, I explain that tried an Aussie Cabernet Shiraz tonight and even that was too dry and not nearly sweet & fruity enough. Ghaaah.

Sorry about the headache willpie -- I used to get them a lot, but now I seem to get anxiety/panic attacks instead. If I had to choose, I'd choose anxiety over headache.

I went to my local bar tonight. Wednesday night is the night my friend plays guitar and sings there. I found out Bokers, the waitress, just turned 40, and that her name is Kathleen. She looks older. Life of a bar waitress, I guess. But she is a very good one. Also, there was a bunch of magicians there, commemorating the anniversary of the death of their mentor. Some of them very politely and suavely did some card tricks and such for me and my girlfriends. I normally don't like magicians or card tricks, but it was fine. Also, I put my big shoes on stage in front of my (lesbian, birkenstock kinda gal) friend and she put them on and sang "These Boots Were Made For Walking." It was small scale performance art.

I'm glad I went out.

I went to the Farmer's market. Drank some beer, hung out, watched some kids do ballet etc. Now I'm kinda hot (house is about 85 right now), hungry and a little bit anxious (from unrelated events).

Maybe I'll eat something, drink another beer and watch a movie.
