A post in which Specklet makes an announcement, and requests not one but TWO meet-ups.→[More:]

So it's official: I'm leaving Portland and moving to England to be with TheDonF.

I think this may be the first bunny romance that has resulted in expatriation. (Beat you by mere weeks, elizard!)

I would like to see all the Portland bunnies before I go, and am requesting a meet-up on Tuesday, April 29th. (Sorry about the week night thing, but my weekends are very tight and I'm reserving the right to be dictatorial.)

I depart on May 5th, when I fly to Florida to visit friends and relations. TheDonF will also be flying to Florida on the 5th (I even got us on the same connecting flight from Philadelphia, awww) and will be there for a week and a half to meet everyone.

Then he returns to England, I stay on for another week, and then I'm heading to New York City for a few days.

Which leads me to my second meet-up request! I have yearned to meet the NY bunnies for ages, and would love to plan something for Saturday night, May 24th.

What say you?

I read this quickly at first and almost fell off my chair. . .not that it would not be bliss but whew!

Congrats, Specklet. . .I am not sure about the PDX night but it would be worth the drive, if I can.

I forgot to say that I'll actually be arriving in England on May 28th, and that the UK bunnies can expect a meet-up request sometime after that!

Miko, I've been wondering that very thing! Our start was so innocuous (see our comment in this thread), you'd never know it what it was to turn into! *wink*

Teeps, I'm sorry you'll be in Vermont! occhi, I wish so much I could make it down to California, but time and money are just impossible to deal with!

That's the one heart-breaking thing about all this, Teeps; I can't take the boys with me.

I've got a very good adoptive family (almost) lined up for them, but I just haven't been allowing myself to think about saying goodbye to them.

My nice job, my apartment, all my furniture and stuff I can give up without a qualm, but those little skittery furballs are going to be tough to leave...

My consolation prize is nothing to sneeze at, though.

There's the reasonable chance of cmonkey falling in love with a brilliant German girl and using that as a post-hoc justification, but I suppose that'd have to happen really quickly to beat the clock here.
