A DeLorean for 13,000? Jeez, if I ever get a job again, maybe I can get one for myself.[More:]I liked this NYTimes story of a woman who drives a DeLorean. The thought of getting one myself might even motivate me to update my resume. Or not.
They are cool cars, even if they are dogs. I remember seeing a gold plated one at the Harrahs car collection many years ago...

It'll never rust. It's stainless. Stains don't stick to it. Unlike Mr Delorean, on whom those charges stuck so they could drive him (and especially his car) out of business. Shades of the Tucker.

Plus, the whole time travel thing is so cool.

They were about 17K when new IIRC, so 3K in depreciation. That's pretty good for a stainless steel Pinto.

"It's not a barn burner," observed Road & Track, "(with) a 0-60 mph time of 10.5 seconds. Frankly, that's not quick for a sports/GT car in this price category."

10.5 0-60 isn't even good for a minivan these days.

Happy birthday King of Prontopia || Why does my mother ask me really simple questions she could answer herself?
