ooh, ooh, ooh! I just got the call, and, next wednesday, probably, I'll be puppysitting, omg! For two weeks, omg. →[More:]

This was actually supposed to happen a few weeks ago, but my friend's father became ill, so she delayed her trip. Anyway, here's my chance to see if I should get a dog at some point, which I've been havin' a yearnin' for.

So, you guys will be right here if I need any help, right?

It's easy - food goes in one end and yucky stuff come out the other. Don't mix em up and you'll be fine.

I'll be here taz, but I'm still learning!

Oh you are going to have a blast! I just went to my second class of puppy school last night. There is only one other student in our class - a little black lab puppy. I swear my anxiety and blood pressure goes down when I watch these two play. It's like a fun little show. Watching Goldie run in our backyard or around the house is like a little comedy show. They are so funny and sweet.

On the other hand, I still am having some issues with this little pup. Of course I am, she is just a little baby. Sometimes I think I'm nuts for adopting this puppy. I don't know if I'm a good puppy mother. They are such a challenge and you have to keep right on top of things. I'm so bad and lazy. If she is chewing on something that I don't care about -- like a two liter plastic bottle or an old magazine, I'll let her have it. This is only teaching bad habits. She will grab and chew new book or magazine and won't know why I'm freaking out.

Thanks for letting me share in your puppy thread, taz. I'm feeling very talkative today.

One of my co-workers brought in his Bull Mastiff today. He was a big happy dog with a cinder block sized head, very cool.
