Seconding arse_hat....I'm in NYC too and my intracity order to a friend through FTD went over nicely; though the pink roses TPS gave me for my birthday last year both looked and smelled wonderful too.

hadjiboy, In the past decade I've used FTD about 15 times and 1 800 about 4 times for intercity and inter-country use and never had a problem.

I've ordered flowers through ProFlowers, and that went well. Also, be sure to check RetailMeNot for coupons for whatever site you end up using- might be able to find something (although maybe not for Valentine's Day).
