I took my time getting to work today; I don't know if that's ethical or not. But I do love me some shoveling.

Fortunately, the condo association contracts with someone who does the shoveling. (They seem to be Mexican; I'm sure that was a rude climate shock coming from Oaxaca or wherever. Actually, if I had some disposable coffee cups I'd make hot chocolate for them. I don't really want four guys I've never met in wet boots in my house.)

I hate that. It happens to me sometimes, a lot less so now because I wake up so early every day. Last night my new neighbors kept me up all night as they moved in at midnight. I mean, I understand they need to move in, but at 2am? Yelling back and forth to each other about whatever it is they were doing? Jackholes.

I AM having a great day, thank you. I am wearing my new very cool knee high boots and a skirt and a double layer of tights and I must say it's all very fetching. Also, it's snow stormy here so of a 15 person department there are exactly four of us here. Nice and quiet!

I'm finishing up what is apparently my last project for my newly ex-boss. The job hunt starts on Monday. Today's the gf's birthday. We're going out to a nice restaurant for dinner, so I guess I need to iron some pants.

As sick as I am of the rain (my yard is one big soppy sponge), I kind of wish we had some snow. At least it would look different falling from the sky.
