When the news broke yesterday he had 11 friends on Facebook but they steadily deserted him throughout the day. (!!!)

Every aspect of this story is incredible, from the sheer magnitude of the fraud and its effects to the minute details like the guy teaching judo to kids. And then there's awesome gossip in the side column. I'm voting 'best internet of the day'.

Moral of the story: If people compare you to Tom Cruise, it's probably a bad thing.

(Also, apparently, "Weathergirl Andrea McLean showed off a warm front as she presented her GMTV bulletin in a tight-fitting yellow top.")
