ThaBeezzzizzaawnnDrruuuugggggzzzzzz She's been tripping since she got back from surgery[More:] and i haven't gotten any pictures of her blown pupils and unsteady wiggly walk, but thankfully, she is taking a lot of time to lounge and sleep. i haven't had a chance to see how extensively she's shaved yet, but they took her white bikini area!
She's resnuggled on the bed and i don't know exactly what she's on or when it wears off, but i wish i knew how to help her make the most of it. She hasn't wanted food or water yet but did take a pee. i don't think she wants tracers and colors. Does music matter when you're in a K hole?
She did throw up a little clear yellowish liquid when she got back, after some intense licking (got her to uncarpeted floor just in time). She's lying around in some really weird positions.

She should be back to fairly normal in 24 to 48 hours. If not, get her back to the vet STAT. They probably already told you to watch her stitches. Abigail ended up with an infection and antibiotics, poor girl. All the boys healed fine.

Gentle snuggles to The Bees.

They said it's okay if she undoes them and to bring her back in a week if she doesn't. i'm not worried about that. i still have to give her a dewormer but i won't until she's back to normal.
i guess there aren't really trip tips for cats.

It's okay if she undoes them? Weird. Abbie had dissolving sutures so I didn't have to take her back for that, just the infection.

As for the trip, I have no tips. (I'm a poet!)

i finally saw them, they look like the usual surgical stitches with big black knots. i want to try and get some shots of her odd nakedness, but right now it's all about snuggle forts and the bed as our puffy island nation of two. We are both very tired.
She is only five pounds, which seems ridiculous.

Music is everything when one is on ketamine. Play her some weird minimal techno like Pan Sonic. Cats on K love Pan Sonic.

Aaaaw, poor widdle kitty. She'll be fine, let her sleep it off, make sure there's snuggly spots all around her. One of my cats kept wanting the bed after surgery and the height thing was impossible as he could not jump so I took all the duvets and pillows down on the floor for the furry little stoner.

i think she's kinda hung over today. She still doesn't want to eat yet and has realized she can't do her trademark epic jumping and climbing. She jumped down off my back and stayed in this low splayed landing position for two minutes; it must have really hurt. She also tried to get on the counter and went splat against cabinet instead. i made little steps of fine literature up to the window and have made a giant cushion out of the fluffiest duvet for her napping pleasure. Having moved this mess around is possibly adding to the irritation of not being able to inspect everything.
If i wasn't afraid of her soreness, i'd put on one of her skirts just because it is so cold and her nipples are so very exposed.

My sister-in-law just finished telling me about the time she had to medicate one of her kitties after a particularly traumatic house-move. She was supposed to give her a quarter tab of valium three times a day but misread the instructions and was giving 1 WHOLE tablet. Kitty was apparently staggering around going "Wowwwwwwwwww" in a blissed-out-hippy sort of way as she couldn't quite meow properly. There were no lasting effects.

The first time i saw a cat drugged out on valium was at this excellent girlie tea party where we all brought stuff we didn't want to throw in a big pile and swap while having teas and desserts. The cat was a tiny, long haired bit of fluff wandering around the garden with this very cautious, slow and wobbly chugga chugga action as it shifted balance. She looked like an ad for hippie feminine products.

She's not really tripping in those pictures. Those are from this morning.
