please god no no no no, please? Is it even possible for The Bees to be in heat AGAIN[More:] when it's only been maybe a week? She goes to the doctor Monday evening. i had to lock her out of the bedroom for the first time ever because she wouldn't stop going after my computer cord, and when i woke up to her yelling at the door, i found, amongst other things, a liter of vodka in the middle of the floor. ?!!?
Say it ain't so. Please.
It's some adolescent phase, yes?

Sounds adolescent to me. You should check her dresser drawers for dope.

It could be. Your vet will know. I had a young female cat a long time ago who could go out of heat and be back in it within a week. Sorry... I know how insane it is to live with them like that. :(

It was the soonest there was for spaying and it took forever for me to find out if she had ever been to a doctor. i only wish she'd filled the drawers with dope. Certain important bits of paper are missing and she's not big enough to move liters and rice cookers, plus, "Look, Ma, no thumbs!"
...
i just don't know.

The mysterious misplacement of Cards and Papers aside, i'm not sure any of this makes sense since all the research i did said the soonest she could be in heat again was two weeks.
i just took her for a tiny adventure to the laundry room, which had her quivering like a Victorian lip in under a minute. i got some bad snacks out of the machine and scored a magic chef food press thing from the free table, and hustled her back to a wet food snack.
Here i am thinking, now she is fine when i hear sounds-- she just so much more vocal now than she ever use to be...

Just a note to let you know that I'll be stealing this one.

When did her previous, uh, cycle end? Wasn't it last week? I seem to recall kittens being more irregular than adult cats, although I could be way off base there, too. It's been a long time since I've been around kitties on the threshold of adulthood.

Oh, poor Bees. If I had to go through that I'd be into the vodka too.

As she gets older her cycle will get longer. Tried the pill? I had two females on the pill, which worked out ine until one of them sussed out what the pills were doing, spat them out and then opened a kitty-brothel in the basement next time she was in heat. Five kittens later I decided that she needed spaying.

Thank the gods for boy kitties. I do have one girl kitty but she didn't go into heat before she was spayed.

She's had enough of basement brothels, i hope. We just have to make it through the weekend and she's not full blown thrusting and seeping yet. i always planned to get her "fixed" but not declawed, which everyone seems very into, to my horror.
Last time, she was a real sweetie but obviously distressed. This time, she might as well have a Catholic girl's school outfit on as she smokes on the corner and waits for her casting call for the next Mimi Van Doren movie. She's going out of her way to be a "bad girl," purposefully taunting me. Her "coy" going for the trash got her a prompt bath, and that didn't stop her. Now she smells musty and i just cleaned the cupboard tops. i wouldn't even care that much if it wasn't for her always going for my power cord, the one thing she knows she can't do. One thing.

Adolescence.
*sigh*
