I don't know, love. Most Greek cheeses are white (or least very, very pale - not really yellow at all), usually - though of course, different makers will produce somewhat different products. Kefalograviera is actually a blend of two cheeses - Kefalotyri and Graviera. So you might want to try each of those.

Also, I'll ask the husband if he can think of one that matches your description. At any rate, one won't go wrong with any of these three mentioned. :)

Ah, I just thought of one that might fit the bill: Ladotyri. If you remember anything about it being from Mytilini/Lesvos, that would definitely be it.
