Bruce [More:]Though my body is somewhat thrashed from two and a half hours of dancing in front of my stadium chair and the 1 AM arrival home, still I bask in the ecstatic glow of another incredible Bruce/E Street show.

This band is uncanny. Their energy, sincerity, and dedication to performance is just unequaled. I always sound like such a rabid fan when I talk about Bruce, but on the other hand, I listen to a ton of music and see a lot of live shows, and Bruce shows, particularly with this band, are so far out in front of what any other musicians deliver that there's no fair comparison.

The material from this last album blends incredibly well with the rest of his work and makes the most of the band. What a consistent, strong sound. I was overjoyed that they did a bunch of songs from Wild, Innocent, and also really touched to witness how much the fans have taken the songs on Magic to heart already and connected with them pretty deeply. We had a great audience, especially for a Monday night. Everybody sang, everybody danced, nobody sat down.

Bruce is an inspiration to watch, the closest thing to a truly self-actualized human being I can recall. A hard worker who values the people he performs for, writes songs with messages of perserverance, struggle, hope, and survival, and channels some kind of powerful spirit when he plays.

A review thread from the Backstreets board, a copy of the handwritten setlist, readable setlist, a couple YouTube clips (this one's sweet - Patti get's a hug, mid-Kitty's Back. That last one was shot by someone just to left of us; we were behind the stage, behind Max and to his right but very, very close up.

Peter Wolf sat in on "10th Avenue Freeze-Out" but that was the extent of his participation.

All in all, the E Street Band is one of the few you can see that you actually feel, when you walk away, that the ticket price was completely fair for the experience you get. It is because of shows like this that the standard response to the statement "Eh, I'm not much of a Bruce fan," is "But have you seen him live?"
Miko, it sounds like a great night and concert.

Damn, I am so jealous! I couldn't get a ticket for the London show.

Sounds intense, meeks. And whenever I've had behind the stage seats, they were always better than out in front or in the ozone some damn place.

Make no mistake: this was my first-time ever at a Bruce show, and HE IS THE BEST EVER. I have never seen a live show by any other performer that brings it so hard and for so long. He played for nearly three hours without a pause. Something like a six-song encore.

Um, he's 58 years old, people.

What can any of us do for three hours without stopping?

I am massively inspired by him. Anyone who says they don't like Bruce ain't never seen him.
