Weekends are made for... [More:] car problems.

Last weekend, all three of the cars in my family had issues that needed to be dealt with; two of them were essentially undriveable during that time.

So they're all fixed now and I can breath easy, right?

Wrong. The garage door spring busted and the garage door can't be opened. Waiting for the repair guy....
...leaking hot water tanks. Saturday morning!

That was expensive.

...going into work to get some good quality, worthwhile coding done in peace and quiet without constant interruptions from people wanting irritatingly annoying bits of work doing. Please God hire a new intranet manager so that I can do some UK-level stuff for my company instead of showing the same people for the nth time how to use Dreamweaver to link two pages together. Gah.

Weekends is also verrrrrrry good for hot dates with The Girl. One of which will be starting just as soon as we've eaten.

Slight hangovers. Full on hangovers. Shopping with friends. Waking up late. Generally escaping responsibility.

...brunching. We walked around the neighborhood with Twinkie, hanging up fliers for the church Halloween party I'm planning (please please PLEASE let someone show up!) Then we had a little lunch at the Brick Cafe- the salad I had, with goat cheese, string beans and potatos, was delicious!

...noticing (today at least) how dark it's getting. It was almost completely dark at 6.30 this evening which is a little sad. The clocks change next weekend so that'll only make things worse. Boo!

And cold, TheDonF. I'm thinking about putting the heater on for the first time.

...breakfast at 4.30pm. Hmmm eggs and mushrooms in the afternoon.

Yeah, goo, it's getting colder as well. My ears were distinctly chilly on the way to work the other day and I've had the heating on for the past week. Oh well. I wouldn't mind, but we had such a crappy summer in the UK this year that it feels somewhat unfair that it's got so cold and dark so soon.

...going to the mall and finding four new cute tops so I can stop looking like Haggis McBaggis.

...watching movies with my husband and sister and hopefully laughing. Lots of laughing.
