It's true this doesn't have the panache of being an AF pilot, but first, he doesn't care much for pilot types-or panache for that matter, and second, who knows how long his PQ would last, seeing as he's the only one ine family who doesn't wear glasses in everyday life.

Somewhere in the bowels of USAFA, meanwhile, there is one cadet who just got notified that God indeed was smiling on him or her and a pilot slot opened up Just For Them. I expect to be able to hear the whoops all the way here in NC.
