Sadness. My daughter (Grandbun's mama) had a friend in high school who disappeared back in 2005.

Today's paper brought the news they found her remains, on post.

I'm sad, and relieved, and pissed, all at the same time.

They sat next to each other in class. Apparently this girl and my daughter talked a lot to each other, and she told my daughter things that she didn't tell anyone else. My daughter was a senior that year (the girl was a sophomore) and that was a rough year for our family in other areas as it was.

At this point I am simply ready for an arrest to be made. The FBI has been involved with this (plus her case was profiled on America's Most Wanted a couple of times) so I imagine they might have some ideas at this point.

Rough patch, indeed. Wonder how secure the area is where she was found -- could narrow the potential suspect list.
