If Pips and jonmc had had a wedding cake ...→[More:]... it would've been this one.
That wiener cake reminds me of a clip of some sort of science program where they gave someone what looked to be a vanilla ice cream, but was in fact mashed potatoes. The look on the guy's face was priceless.
I once read in a magazine article about food stylists that they use mashed potato instead of ice cream in photo shoots because the lights cause the ice cream to melt.
When I graduated 8th grade, my dear mother made a cheeseburger and french fries cake, decorated with lettuce and tomato and ketchup and sesame seeds. It was AWESOME.
The cake would be a lobster holding a couple of steaks in it's claws. And it'd be a real lobster. With real steaks. Surrounded with smashed taties. mmm.
Dessert'd be the exact same thing, only made out of cake. As ej mentioned, the taties would be actual ice cream, as I don't think it'd have time to melt.
