Finder! Carla Speed McNeil will be in Portland on the 29th→[More:] says her website.

I can't get to Portland but SOMEbody should! She's one of my favorite graphic novelists.

(What is the proper job title for that? Graphic novelist doesn't sound right.)

Well, there is always illustrator, visual storyteller, heh, maybe even serigraphist. I doubt she would have must problem with being called a graphic novelist, and if she did, then that would make her less cool.
