I'm going away! →[More:]Well, not right now. Not for a few months. But I'm so excited! I finally found a friend who was as eager to abandon her husband and children as I am and we booked a room at the Hotel Hershey--which is fancy schmancy enough to have fluffy robes. We've scheduled massages and facials and have made reservations for a big, fancy, cocktail-filled dinner. WOO HOO!!!

It is absolutely amazing to me how reluctant the moms I know are to leave their kids alone with their husbands. Some don't think it would be "fair" since "he works." Others "don't think he could handle it." I find both those attitudes kind of weird.

I knew I was setting myself up for a Hershey Highway joke, but I didn't see the squirts one coming.

I went to school out there and there's nothing more fun than, um, treating your glaucoma and going to Chocolate World. Good times. Good times.

Beautiful jrossi! Sounds like a blast.

I don't feel guilty leaving my kids with my husband. He's a great parent and caregiver. I do feel guilty about leaving the kids in general. It's something I need to work on. In fact, I've never "left" them overnight, unless you count the time I went to the hospital to have another baby. Bunnystock will be the first time I "leave" them. I'm approaching Bunnystock II as a fun-filled weekend without guilt. (Hopefully)

On leaving the kids alone with Dad, those are kind of weird. Prevalent, but weird. My sons and I kind of look forward to "boys' nights".

On preview, Bunnystock last year was the first night I'd spent away from youngest. It was *slightly* difficult but nice.

I was already feeling upstaged by Hugh's brilliance, jrossi. You didn't have to rub my nose in it. :)

i am so reconsidering this bunnystock...

Make the most of every diaper free moment, jrossi. Be sure to flounce around without fear of tripping on toys or waking any one.

I've never had a hard time leaving my kids. Probably because my girly has no seperation anxiety. She's a super confident kid and views every new experience as an opportunity for high adventure.

I love that about her.

i'm waiting to see what pans out but i'm leaning towards nay without people acting like big babies. i'm all for a clambake and a bonfire but i'm not terribly sporty without the right drugs and i don't know if i can afford nipping over just for a day or two. Maybe a Baltimore or DC meet up if i go there, i dunno. Still a few weeks to sort and plan.

If you nick anything from the room, they'll prbably charge you, so i say go for random mayhem in the village, like any good rampaging visitng monster.
