This picture says it's a baby wombat but I don't believe it. It looks remarkably like a big, more furry sugar glider.

Oh my god, Specklet, that second one is balanced precisely on the knife's edge between brain-meltingly cute and really kind of creepy. Either way, it definitely does not look like something of this earth, and I am a bit uneasy about its apparent intention to sit up, hoist itself out of its box, and go seeking whom it may either snuggle or devour.
