"It's just a great band name, people!" They are in (my)town tonight. →[More:] Anyone ever heard of/heard this band?

I am considering going, just out of curiosity.

some of the worst gigs I've ever been to were a result of seeing a great band name in the club listings.

on the other hand, I bought the first ep by the butthole surfers after it came out because they had a great band name. same thing with camper van beethoven. both became two of my favorite bands.

so, hey - caveat emptor
