Oh. My. God. [More:]

at the end of the page:

"Poe has made numerous music videos and has written countless feature scripts. He is currently teaching screenwriting and film production at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts; writing a book, Acid Baseball and preparing a feature film (Kenny Makes a Move) based on Richard Price's novel, Ladies' Man."

It's a three year old article, sure but hope springs eternal. I have no idea what actor could play Kenny Becker, but I'd be so stoked to see this on the big screen. I also don't know much about this Amos Poe cat, but maybe he's up to the task.
I saw Unmade Beds; Poe might have it in him to portray the ambivalence, contradiction, and panic that constitutes modern sexuality as chronicled by Price.

That sounds hopeful, but who would play Kenny? We'd need a guy handsome enough to be convincing bedding down all these women, but not so handsome that he isn't riddled by self doubt and overflowing with manic nervous energy. I can't think of anybody.

Sam Rockwell?

Too pretty. and I wouldn't buy him as a Jewish guy from the Bronx. Maybe a young Gary Oldman.

You know what I mean, he's not all buffed and polished.

and Kenny Becker is an obvious surrogate for Richard price himself, who looks like this, so that Rockwell guy is definitely too prettyboy.
