So I finally sampled the Yogurt that Launched 1,000 Parking Tickets: Pinkberry. It was extraordinarily...[More:]...average. I mean, yes, it's pleasantly tasty and tart. But the hysteria escapes me. (It was cool hanging out with my friend Thea, though.)
What flavor did you order?

I had the same experience at a place called Ritter's Frozen Custard. People rave and rave. It's good, but not that good. Or, maybe for me, it's too rich to order on a regular basis.

So what's the "orginal" flavored with?

We split a swirl of the plain (vanilla, I guess) and the green tea, with coconut on the side (for me). I liked the green tea best, and can see how it would be very nice with some fresh berries.

For my money, though, the mecca of frozen dessert will forever remain St. Louis's own Ted Drewes Frozen Custard.

Should I buy one of these Pinkberries and shelve it as an investment?

They have one in NYC now, downtown. Will get there someday.

tons of hype can ruin what would otherwise be a nice experience. These days I take pains not to overhype something I'm recommending to a friend.

Crackberry: Pinkberry yogurt or Blackberry PDA? Tonight on the news at 10.

So why did it launch 1000 parking tickets?
