My socks are wet and I'm at work.[More:]Would it be weird to dry them with the hand-dryer in the bathroom?

It's been really monsoon-like here in south central texas. We've had near-daily thunderstorms for the last 3 weeks, with no end in site. Unfortunately we're looking at a rained-out 4th of July :(
It wouldn't be any weirder than the time my socks were wet at work so I put them under my halogen desk lamp in hopes it would dry them.

It kinda did. You have a better chance.

I don't think it'd be weird at all.

One day when I was working from home a team-mate emailed me to say he'd got soaked on the way into work and his pants were wringing wet from the knees down. He thought he'd have to sit all day with wet legs, but I am nothing if not resourceful.

Our loos at work have a large stall for wheelchair users which has its own hand-dryer, so he was able to take his pants off in private and dry them off.

:( I just went in to the ladies restroom, and there was no air dryer! Only paper towels.

"My socks are wet and I'm at work" sounds like the first sentence of a short story.
