They won't get me. I tried WoW last year, to play with some old friends from other games, and thought it was a fun, very well made game. I just didn't want to play it. I played for two months and that was plenty. Years of suffering* in Everquest destroyed all capacity for joy from a fantasy based MMOG.

Heh. I don't know a thing about WoW but whenever I see the phrase "epic mount" I think of the epic mount craigslist woman.

I just downloaded the expansion as well, WoW is sucking all of my free time away but I guess it's better than tv. What servers are you on Wolfdaddy? I have a 48 druid that I play the most. I'm determined to get at least one toon to 70. And I want my Black War Raptor.

Hey KoP - I know how you feel. I was in Evercrack about 9 months after initial launch and felt the nerf bat more times than I care to remember. Left EQ when DAoC launched, played the hell out of that until the guild drifted and then moved to EQ2. Everyone else (mostly) went to WoW. I've beta'd a bunch of MMOG's... Earth and Beyond, EVE, a few others. Talk about burnout. I think it was the absolutely fucked questing in EQ that started my downfall. Two goddamn weeks camping for a drop that was part three of a six-part monk quest. Needless to say I never made it to the lower levels of Guk for the 5th part (I'd read of people camping for over 250 hours. Fuk dat.) The questing in EQ2 is way better, but I still have a hell of a time doing the level grind.

...I should mention I'm wary of WoW as I'm afraid that I'll be bored of it or really really like it. I've managed to avoid it. So far. :)
