as it happens, last night i googled someone i dated a few years ago. he's married now. i didn't love him, he didn't love me, but it still hurt. the googling can be a bad thing. strangely, his match.com profile is still there, although appears inactive - don't people take those down?

There's a couple people in my life that I think the same way about, that maybe I missed out on something great. When my high school ex got married I found it very bizarre, I was both happy for him and hurt because it meant that we could never get together again.

Shane said it all, quite well. I've also been there. I actually dated an old boyfriend after my divorce, but he still could not committ. When he suddenly proposed and married someone else after only a year of dating, I was hurt, and angry. But like shane said, it ended up being a bullet dodged! I'm sorry for your hurt, though. It'll get better.

By the way, did he call you? Two weeks before his wedding? Hmmm... Or did you just run into each other coincidentally?
