Thank you again bunnies. [More:]I can’t say how much it means to me to have some place to come to where I can share my thoughts and feelings, and have you guys to fall back on, and know that whatever happens I won’t be judged too harshly, or judged at all for that matter.
Last week, I was really worried about whether I was out of a job or not, and a lot of you bunnies came to my rescue, again—I appreciate that. As it turns out, my boss is a pretty understanding fellow, and while he explained to me that this behaviour is unacceptable—he’s given me one last chance.
I hope I don’t let him down.
Good for you and good on your boss!

Good luck at that job. I know how tempting it can be to just not go to something, but trust me, thats now way to do well at it.

Whew! I'm so glad for you, hadjiboy! I know you can do it.

Is there a place at work where you can decompress for a few minutes when you're overwhelmed? Perhaps you can speak with your boss. Good luck.

Yay!

Seconding brujita's suggestion. I think it will really help you to have an "I'm feeling overwhelmed and want to flee" plan in place -- e.g., decide ahead of time what actions you can take to get you through it. And I'm sure you know this already, but don't forget to breathe, slowly and deeply, using you diaphragm and not your chest muscles (e.g., your belly should expand while your chest stays relatively flat).

I'm so glad you worked it out. That's great! Good for you for having the courage to approach the guy and talk about it, rather than just skulking off and hiding.
