Tonight's Workout I did two circuits of the Central Park Reservoir tonight at around six. [More:] I ran about 75-80% of it, with some brief walking breaks. Not bad when you consider that I haven't really run in . . . oh, man, since before I can remember.

I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. I didn't have any knee or ankle pain. I didn't have that horrible pain in my abdominal muscles that I get when I haven't been running for a while. It was a really great run.

It was neat. 3.1 miles of great views and cool breezes coming off the water.
It's a nice run, right? I like to run from my place, do a couple of circuits and run down 5th ave a bit to make it up to 5 miles. Only thing is that there are usually far too many people.

I remember Marathon Man. Dustin Hoffman running around that, before running was cool. Then of course having a bad visit to the dentist.

We got a glimpse of it after the Guggenheim. God I really want to see NY again.

Sounds like a great run, gaspode!

Yeah. Well, that's kind of the story of contemporary NYC.

We got a glimpse of it after the Guggenheim. God I really want to see NY again.

It definitely is one of the city's gems. Even with the crowds, it is very beautiful. I can only imagine how it would look on a fall morning, with mist floating over the water . . .

Come back soon!
