Photo Friday: Strangers [More:]

Do we need preparation time for Photos of Strangers, so maybe next week? Should today be a random "I Like This Photo" day? Am I terribly wronging someone who had a great theme idea that I've forgotten? YOU BE THE JUDGE. And carry on in this thread, please.
;-)
I thought it was "strangers" this week, but I'll hold off on posting a pic if the topic's in doubt.

I thought it was photos of strangers day too. Did I miss something? Oh well. Not a big deal. Somebody clear this up so I know what pictures to post.

The great and powerful Oz told me to tell you that the theme is Strangers.
posted by iconomy 04 May | 08:58
Okay, Strangers it is. iconomy, do you want to change the heading of the post? People can just think I'm weird for posting a glass and a couple dogs.
posted by shane 04 May | 09:03
No, we'll just think you're being a bit stranger than usual.
posted by chrismear 04 May | 09:05
I changed it ;)
posted by iconomy 04 May | 09:08
Do you mean photos that people have intentially taken of strangers or photos that happen to include strangers? Do you guys really take photos of strangers? Do you ask first or just do it? 'cause please don't do that to me or my family anywhere, anytime

It means whatever you want it to mean.
posted by iconomy 04 May | 09:18
Only one way to avoid it, auntbunny- never leave the house. ;)

That's how I like to live, BP, you nailed it.

I've always found these statue actors to be a bit strange, myself.

Is that in Nashville, backseatpilot? We saw a silver cowboy when we were there in February. Hard to tell from the back, but I think the one we saw might have been a little huskier than this guy.

on preview- I just noticed there are TWO cowboys in your pic! We just saw one, on Broadway in Nashville.

While waiting for my plane, I figured it was a good time to go around and take photos of people looking at the planes. There were a few children going on for their first time, it seemed, so parents and grandparents were spending a lot of time pointing things out at the window.

First, the boy on the left sat down. Then, the girl in the middle followed suit. Next, the girl on the right did likewise. Lastly, Derek and I looked at eachother, shrugged, and joined them.

Why stand when you can sit?
Kids make a lot of sense sometimes.

WTF? I want to see HIS picture! Photo standoff at the Boston Museum of Art.

≡ Click to see image ≡
This guy made my day. He had the tiniest camera on the thinnest tripod I've ever seen, and went about the whole room, taking pictures of himself in front of the paintings. I felt pretty sad when museum security told him that tripods (for reasons I can't seem to figure out) weren't allowed. I don't think he understood, as he didn't speak English to the security guard.

Again, I'm sorry. Now you know what I was so souped about the "strangers" theme. :)

I have a hard time not feeling creepy when taking taking pictures of people I don't know. But models are OK, there is a certian expectation that people will take pictures of them.

CitrusFreak, those are great pictures. I love the one of the guy in the red t-shirt and dark baseball hat. And the b&w shot of the couple sitting on the steps of the State House is absolutely timeless, it could've been taken in the 1940s.
