Pixelator (embedded video, sound) One man's quest to turn obnoxious video billboards into art.[More:] Atlanta's transit system has these eyesores, too, but they're suspended from the ceiling where nobody can touch them. Drat.

Note that the page calls this a "collaboration with the New York City Metropolitan Transit Authority, Clear Channel Communications, and its selected artists," but that's tongue-in-cheek; the MTA and the rest don't know they're collaborating.

I'd try this on the Tube, but the displays are by the moving escalators, which might make installing the art a performance in itself.

Now at home, I can see the site. I can see why the ISP blocked it at the gym. It is anti-consumerism and really is the biggest threat to our security after liquids on planes.
