Dumb i-Tunes Question [More:]I'm trying to delete a gob of songs off of my iPod. I unchecked the songs I don't want on iTunes, clicked File, and then clicked "update playlist". The songs are still on the iPod that I don't want. Help! I have the complete Bat Out of Hell album that the husband put on there ages ago.

What am I doing wrong? I'm such a tech moron.
Did you sync the ipod with the updated playlist?

There are no dumb iTunes questions... only iTunes is dumb.

Thanks guys.

I have a HP edition iPod. The HP version is even weirder. I can use iTunes of course, but I can't use Apple support, not that I've needed to. I looked up the sync stuff. :) Still don't know what's going on. I will read further and figure it out somehow. I need to bust out the manual.

I created a separate playlist. At least this way I can filter out some stuff I don't want.

The other day, my iPod suddenly decided it didn't want to accept any new music from iTunes, for no apparent reason. After assirted fucking about and swearing, I just clicked "manage music manually" or whatever it is and dragged and dropped the tunes I wanted to add. That worked, although it pissed me off. Maybe it will work for you too.
