Quick rockabilly cover question: [More:] Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen recorded "Hot Rod Lincoln," and I've heard some other band doing a cover where the lead singer/guitarist starts doing all these hilarious, outrageously great little four-bar riffs from famous rock guitar parts. Does that ring any bells? Who was it?
If the singer/guitarist was female, odds are it's Blanche McCrary Boyd's version, found on the Stranger Than Fiction compilation. Otherwise, it could be Larry Groce (from his Country Storytime CD) or Bill Kirchen (King of Deiselbilly).

I'm pretty sure the singer was male unless she's a female baritone(!); not sure which gender the guitarist is. I've heard it twice on the radio.
