Ha! How odd!! I work in a restaurant made world renown by Dashiell Hammett and the novel/movie. And, as a matter of fact, there's a bit of a recent stir due to a missing piece/s of historical [if trivial] value...though I doubt a revolver or an automatic was used in the less than legal acquisition of said article/s. As weird as it feels to have been robbed, it's been a true source of intrigue and genuine speculation as life imitates art.

At length, yes...as I was one of a number of people there when it was seen last and when it was discovered missing. I even snickered about CSI:SF after the third camera crew made its way filming through the restaurant only to turn around in time to come face to face with a guy from the forensics department on his way upstairs to dust for prints. [!!!]

It was pretty exciting for a couple of weeks, but I think we'd all just prefer to have da boid and da books back now, thankyouverymuch.
