Has anyone seen the movie Crank? →[More:]
DirectTV has been advertising this movie. In the preview there is a scene with Jason Statham's character standing fully erect and conscious with defibrillator paddles to his chest. It looks like his friend is about to deliver a shock. Could someone explain the purpose of this scene? It cracks me up with its ridiculousness every time I see it.

It's supposed to be a pretty crazy movie. I think sex on a motorcycle is involved. Anyway, I got enough of Statham in the transporter so I have little interest in him.

Wonderful. While I was in med school at USC, one day two radiology techs were screwing off and one shocked the other with a full 360 J shock, fibrillating his heart. The code team couldn't get it started again and the guy died.

I'm the opposite of glad to see this kind of stupidity is getting wider distribution.

I thought this movie was awesome! I saw it in the theater with a couple of friends and we were killing ourselves laughing. I dunno if it's supposed to be funny but we sure thought it was. We were also the only ones laughing in the whole place and it was pretty full. You can draw your own conclusions from that.

I loved the movie. The camera work took some getting used to, but I really liked the ending. And Statham is just hot.
