Very unexpected, very unfun but strangely kind of alright. The job was a good one but it was also pretty high stress and took up a pretty crazy amount of time.

But I am not allowed to become unemployed, my two little boys have to eat and you'd be amazed how much 55 pounds of children can eat.

Getting laid off led directly to me fleeing the country and finding a new life in another hemisphere. Worked out OK for me.

That sucks fenriq. I was laid off two years ago, it was scary at first but it turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me. Got me out of a job I hated, gave me more time to finish my master's thesis and I ended up with a much cooler job.

Did you get any kind of severance package?
