According to her blog, she had to go to Baltimore last night to see a sick and dying friend, and will be gone a few days.→[More:] Bear in mind that this thread may scroll off before she gets back, so if you want to say something to her, cross-posting it on her blog would be good.

Oh, thanks y'all. Thanks so much. I got back last night; it was a difficult few days. My friend died on Friday, but it was calm and peaceful and if anyone can be said to have had a good death, it was he. I really appreciate all your kind thoughts and wishes and omie's phone call was very very sweet.
