High-End Prostitutes? SFW arrest report w/pictures.[More:]Er, these are high-end hookers charging out $10K a session? WTF?

What on earth can they be doing that's worth that kind of dough?
You need a Lutheran minister, a shrunken head, a large male horse (not gelded), four pounds basmati rice, one stick of cinnamon and a small bag of cat litter (for traction).

At 42 and 30 no less. I wonder if she paid for the million dollar house in cash.

My university English prof killed her husband and walked with a judgement of justifiable homicide. She quit teaching and became a high end madam. After a number of years in business she was busted. The arresting officer was convicted of theft. The crown attorney in charge of her case stepped down under a cloud of suspicion. The court clerk that had insulted her was convicted of corruption. It can be very lucrative.

Recently I had occasion to run into that theft convicted officer who is now again an officer of the law. Prick that I am, I made fun of him in front of several people. I just can't get past the idea that those in law enforcement need to be above reproach.

Wow. One of my university english professors promised me an A for sex. [I got a C.]

Arse's story is much more interesting.

I guess this is her website (NSFW, obviously).

I doubt $10k is the price for a single session with one prostitute. She seemed to be running quite a business, including filming orgies and such. For $10k, perhaps it was more like a bachelor party event or a Pretty Woman-esque vacation companion.

Looking over the charges, it doesn't seem that the prosecutors have much of a case. Juries don't like RICO or conspiracy cases and the conviction rate is quite low. I suspect there is some local political struggle in the deep background, since that is often the trigger that will disrupt a lucrative business like this.

More, but not much more, news here

C'mon...y'all don't remember Sidney Biddle Barrows, the Mayflower Madam?

AJC has a fairly detailed story.

I wonder who she pissed off, and further, who will eventually be implicated as clients.

Most likely they charged her under RICO statues so they could seize her apparently considerable assets. Even if they never bring the charge to her trial her assets can be convicted of committing a crime in civil court and then seized. Some places portions of the forfeiture are returned to the local force.

July, she files for divorce. November, right after the elections, the local paper confronts the DA with copious evidence. December, the cops open an investigation. January, they are busted.

RICO charges are often a sign of a fishing expedition (and profitable because of the seizure clause.) Since drugs are involved, the drug forfeiture laws are already satisfied, so the RICO looks like a pressure tactic, rather than the best route for prosecution.

If you read enough of the stories, it becomes plain that the police had been recieving complaints about drugs and "lewd conduct" for years. So the real nut of the story is what pried the pigs loose from the donut... And how did the newspaper get involved? Husband's attorney...?

Here's the backstory on the newspaper forcing the DA to act.

Here is the story about one of the websites they used. It's obvious that there is no crackdown on the thriving prostitution and porn industry in the Atlanta area (which has been a center for porn production since the 1970's.)

And last but not least, here's part of the backstory on the divorce and the possible collusion of the guards at the gated community:

However, on July 3 of last year, police were called to Taylor's house six times on domestic disturbances between her and her husband, said Cpl. Darren Moloney, Gwinnett police spokesman. By the sixth visit that day, police arrested Taylor for fighting words and disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor, Moloney said. Those charges were later dropped for lack of evidence, according to court documents. Taylor filed for divorce in July. The couple apparently at one time owned two Baskin Robbins' ice cream shops and some online businesses together, court records show.

As usual in these cases, the "client" list becomes a football for both the prosecution and defense. Likely, a few johns will be charged to force them to turn prosecution witnesses.

And also as usual, the prosecutorial discretion in who gets reamed and who doesn't will all cause the DA to accumulate considerable political power.

Ah, corruption, what a sweet smell it is.

(Hums a cheerful little tune)
