I am going insane [More:]I saw this thread yesterday. The picture here is something I've seen on another website before.

The site included the letter from the teacher, Find x and a list of the worst analogies ever written. It was not a blog. It was an entire site devoted to this type of sad education stuff. The url was something like website.com/variousmonth - that was it. I think the url had something to do with George Bush and how he's "helping" to educate our kids. Each page had a blue header area with a white background below, displaying a picture or text.

I've looked at every website that comes up when you google "They were like two hummingbirds who had also never met", which is one phrase I remember being on the analogy list. I can't find this site. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I've been looking for it since yesterday. If I don't stop soon, my boyfriend will leave me because of the lack of attention I'm paying to him. If I stop without finding it, I will go crazy. The site will haunt me in my dreams.
I can't help you with the URL, but I do recall one analogy not on the list you linked:
"His body hit the pavement like a paper bag full of pea soup."

Yes - I remember that one too. [more googling imminent]

I think this might be the site you're looking for. My favorite one was "Her vocabulary was as bad as, like, whatever"...

Sorry, clevershark, I've seen that one already. It's not just the list of analogies I'm looking for - but a site devoted to the results of poor education.

Many of the analogies in clevershark's link were stolen from the Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest, I believe.

Crap. Still not what I'm looking for. :( Sad face because I am now mildly intoxicated...

May I see your receipt? || Oh brave new world, that has such laziness in it!
