Strange web-addictions - what are yours? Mine are ...[More:] kinda strange. I log on to hemnet and bovision almost every day and search for apartments for sale in specific price ranges. I'm not buying, but if anyone else is, I know some areas and ranges by heart - so much so that I spot apartments being re-sold (or were they never sold the first time? hmm) by different brokers three or four months later. Sad innit? My other, much more normal addiction is to delight in the disgrace of 'celebs' at the superficial&idon'tlikeyouinthatway.
What? You mean YOU DON'T change up your entire existence based on chatting on the internet with people? Man, that's WEIRD.

You just highlight the text you want to use, then click on "link" and enter the URL, karim.

I'm addicted to celebrity gossip. I have like a squillion sites bookmarked.

Yea, and celebrity gossip, too. Today I saw Britney Spears' c-section scar. ::shudder::

It's on the list! Although ONTD is probably my favorite because it's updated the most frequently.

If I see one more picture of bald celebrity snatch, however, it may cure me of my addiction. Does no one wear panties anymore???

Dang Daniel Charms, you're gonna add to my addictionlist!

And I saw Britney's c-scar today too. And too much more. Oh god. My eyes. They BUUUUURRRN.

That goddamned Dice Wars game that ikkyu2 posted to MetaFilter a while back. I CANNOT STOP PLAYING IT. I think about dice wars. I *dream* about dice wars. I've started structuring my thoughts around dice war analogies. IT'S GOT TO STOP.

the show with zefrank. (i linked to the 'scrabble' page cos it's stupidly funny, imho.)
I used to really like b3ta.com, but for the last bunch of months the amount humourous stuff they have is very few and very far between.
Pixelation. Pixel art. I'm almost obsessed with it. It's why I'd like a whole buncha these (and a light table).

I do this a lot on MeFi/MeTa, but not so much here.

Daniel Charms, that game looks extremely cool. I may have to go and play it, but then I would become addicted and I simply don't have time for more addictions until I can get Web access on the train, giving me an extra two hours a day to play.

Well, my Flickr addiction is pretty well known around here. I also read TONS AND TONS of music and movie reviews... even for music and movies I have no intention of hearing/seeing for myself. I can just read reviews for hours and hours.

Yeah, I always just want to put my 2 shiny pennies in, and then I change my mind and don't post the comment. It's therapeutic. If it was going to be a FFP, I just put it on my Vox blog instead.

Oh, and also Found, when I remember to go there.

i'm not saying "i'm over it" or anything like that. i'm saying i had this ze frank fixation over the last week i tried to cure with ze frank immersion. Now i'm back to a more even keeled ze frank appreciation, but i wish i had something else to absorb me.
Which is why i do things like not read a webcomic, then when i do i can go back and read a bunch of them.
Right now i am pretty boring and nothing is particularly amusing, but it's me and not the world at large.
This is part of the reason i plan to make myself a nice light cocktail in a bit after i digest a little, besides the fact i can.

See how boring i am? Quite run over the line towards annoying, i say.

I search eBay for 3" reel to reel tape every day, even though I have it set up to email me whenever some is up for auction. (If anyone has any, mail me!)

I read ROFCL a lot.
It's a Livejournal. It's run by furries. There are furries there. They are interesting. They also put up videos and sometimes horrible images, but also really funny ones too.

I don't know why I like that livejournal so much. I hate livejournal. But ROFCL is compelling in a weird way.

And I don't know what it means, which just adds to the compulsion.
posted by disclaimer 29 November | 22:21
Ok, that ROFCL site is odd, but then furries are odd too. They got some strange/good vids there though. The how not to rob a store one is amazing. I was trying to see if it was faked, but it sure doesn't look like it, and the best part is that the dude just don't give up! At all! Whatta dickhead! :D

wow.

i usually don't respond to stuff like that, but after he fell on top of the shelf--

--that's pluckly.

also phrases like "I thought that Virginia Madsen had suddenly and tragically fallen on very hard, very confusing, and unexpectedly incontinent times" are somehow irresistibly charming.

now i feel extra dirty and must to go douche in the french sense.

occhiblu, I'm a DICEWARS fanatic too. I went through a hating-it period, worked through a period of using different numbers of players, and now I usually just play the default again. I still really detest the tedious endgames. And once I discovered that super-conservative is a strategy that (almost) always works, it's become much less "fun".

Now, I just tried those three celeb blogs mentioned above, for kicks, and in every case I got to the bottom of the page and didn't need more, and none of them made it into my bookmarks. I guess I just feel my brain cells draining away as I read those ... no offense!

I was totally 24/7 on political blogs during the election season, and now that that's over I have nothing to really replace it with.
