3) Finally finishing the project that has eaten up my weekends and weekdays for the last four months

1. Having a beer and fine conversation with my Dad.

2. Helping my Mom, when she'd let me, with making the family dinner.

3. Coming home and sleeping off the travels and food.

And, as a bonus: Finished a new painting last night!

1) Having my mom over to our house on a holiday (a first!).

2) Spending Saturday with my partner's extended family during their annual reunion, who are all awesome people. (This was another first.)

3) Seeing my brother and his family for the first time in almost a year.

Uh. Yeah, I can't think of three good things. I am just glad the last week and a half or so are over with.

1. Having A Very Bowie Thanksgiving with my friends.
2. Playing Trauma Center and bowling on someone else's Nintendo Wii.
3. Relaxing on my balcony with beer, a cigar, Jorge Ben Jor, and my honey.

1) Getting birthday wishes from everyone here.

2) Having a dinner date on my birthday. (Getting a great present, too.)

3) Nice, long talks with three friends.

1.) scrabble with favorite nephew visiting from college.

2.) move out the bulk of recent ex's possessions without incident.

3.) get caught up in the whirlwind of a new relationship that hit like a tsunami.

1. Not travelling back east by air with two small children for a short four day "vacation".

2. Sleeping in. Disclaimer, sleeping in is now getting to stay in bed until after 8 am.

3. Scoring a sweet 19" widescreen LCD monitor for $130.

1. Having our first holiday in our new house
2. Buying one of those over the toilet storage thingies
3. Snow

No extended weekend for me, but the top three moments were:

1) Play Reading Group. We did Abigail's Party
2) Spent all saturday catching up on BSG, Old West Wing and Stargate. Watched a couple of bad films. A Super Slobbing Out Day.
3) Friday Night in Bar 15. Drinking of the Beer and talking of the rubbish.

1) I lectured 45 minutes on Islamophobia, no notes!
2) sat on train with sweet dog and dog-mum on way back!
3) sat on arse Sunday!

1) Finding the remote, which enabled my son & I to share the glory that is BOTH Conan movies back to back on Friday night.
2) Rereading The Magus and finding it just as good & just as thought provoking as it was 20 years ago.
3) A walk with an old friend.

2. pumpkin pie - the only thing we made thanksgiving day in lieu of a yummy buffet at the newly relocated blues joint
3. seeing The Queen w/ sweetie & friends

I had a spectacular weekend.

1. Putting up Christmas lights on Friday. Not something I typically enjoy, but it was unbelievably great weather, and all the neighbors were out and about. Plus, I love running around on my roof.

2. Pheasant hunting with my Dad on Saturday. I didn't hit a damn thing, but it was a great experience. Also, I learned that without domesticating the dog, we would have all starved a long time ago.

3. Three hours of flag football on Sunday. I haven't played for a few months, and was surprised to see that the rust wasn't as bad as I'd thought. I think I'll be ready for league play on Wednesday.

BONUS:

4. Shaving my beard off this morning in preparation for Mustaches for Kids. Boy howdy was that process hilarious.
