Hey! A pic I took yesterday ended up on Flickr's Explore page for the day!→[More:]Several of you kind MeChazens already saw it and commented on it, which probably helped put it there. Thanks! :)
Most (not all) of our train stations ARE really clean. The one in my neighborhood is an elevated outdoor platform, which never gets dirty but is a bit chilly on winter mornings.
It IS an awesome picture. None of my pictures have ever been chosen for Explore. *weeps*
Actually, one in my photostream was, but I didn't take it. Muckster did, and I think it really got into interesting because jonmc is an international internet celebrity. ;-)
Only one of mine made it in also: Spiderboy. Which is odd, because ones that I think are great pass without notice and that one was basically tossed off as a goof.
Here is how you can find out which of your photos made it into Explore: Flickr scout. Once your photo makes the top 500, you can put it in the Interestingness - Top 500 pool (and tag it appropriately), or create an auto-generated most interesting set.
I know what you mean jon... I was surprised at the response to this pic, because I took it while talking on my cellphone to my mom and waiting for my train. A serious spur-of-the-moment thing.
