I just shot this out my window a few minutes ago. Sweet morning.

and here I thought you were against "color gradation" :-)

Lovely pic, tazio dear... Salonica waking up. It's a cold Sunday morning there right? Mmmmm, snuggly...

The balcony thermometer says 7° C., carmina. Yes, I'm cozying up with my radiators, coffee and pajamas. :)

flannel PJs, that is - not Hawt, but warm.

what! 7° C? that's balmy. I spoke to people there today and they made it out as if arctic cold had descended upon you... Stay warm!

Here? Or in Athens? I talked to V. (who is still in Athens) yesterday and he said it was colder there. It's been sunny and relatively warm here for several days now.

Lovely!

Salonica. It's even colder in Athens? I am not calling. They'll be building igloos or something...

Heh. No... I don't know why they are thinking it's cold now. In the second half of October it got really cold (down to 0° - maybe under), and thought "whoah! So it's gonna be that kind of autumn," but it passed. Maybe they are still in shock. :)

Of course... if they live in Panorama, for example, it is going to be a good bit colder. Even Saranda Ekklesias is 3-5 degrees colder than downtown.

Good grief, that's a great sunrise... what're you doing up so early on a Sunday?? :)

43 degrees F here in Atlanta, and I'm ready to crawl into a warm bed with the electric blanket all fired up and Mr BP already snoring away... g'nite!

I'm at my very best all around when I'm in the routine of getting up super early, having a "spacious" afternoon nap and staying up pretty late. Every day that I don't see the sunrise feels sort of truncated and wrong. I've been off that schedule for a few months now, and feeling kind of grouchy and unsettled - probably as a result... So up early on Sunday is good news for me!

Sweet dreams, BP.

Really pretty but it looks chilly-willy!

Hey it's 2 AM and it's dark!

The high Saturday was 8° C but just Thursday it was 21° C. I hate that kind of wild swing because I always seem to be dressed too warm or too cold.

omg! That's gorgeous! What f-stop did you use? I'd maybe like to see the foreground a teensy less diffused, and maybe lose the blue filter - but still, it's damned impressive!
posted by taz 12 November | 02:19
f-stop? Honey I spent the big bucks and got the lens with the F-Stop. Cost a lot more but the girl at Radio Shack explained how it would make ALLLL the difference!

Well, there you go. You get what you pay for, and it's worth it to go that extra mile. So, did you plan to have that sort of ghosty penumbra partially obscuring the armadillo? Or was it just a lucky coincidence? It's really very effective... quite the feeling of foreshadowing.

I wish I could claim it as my own but it was great good luck. Still, if I win an award or something I will be sure to share it with Ms. Bunko from the Shack.

You, sir, are a scholar and a gentleman.

arse_hat: The larger sensor size of the SLR makes all the difference. You wouldn't have gotten half the detail with even an eleventy-megapixel "regular" digital camera. Even if the difference had been only, like, 0.5%, it would still have been perceivable.

What Photoshop plugins did you use?

May I interject and say I love the colors of that picture, taz!!!
