This is a 'having a good day' thread. →[More:]I've had a really good day today. It started with the walk to the station at 6am, I saw cats, a fox and a robin (right up close).

At work I got through shedloads of work, and had my annual appraisal. We have to 'self-appraise' ourselves first, and then the manager goes through it. I'd marked myself as meeting all the necessary criteria, but he changed every single one to exceeding the criteria.

Then on the DLR coming home I played a game of peep-o with the cutest little baby girl who was sitting on her daddy's lap. I'm past caring if people think I'm an idiot, it was fun and made us both laugh.

Walking the mile from the station to home, I watched the sun set over the forest and it was beautiful.

And for me, the weekend starts here. I'm not in the office again until Tuesday. Woo! Yay!

I had oatmeal cookies for breakfast. It is SO NICE outside, I can't believe it's November. The dog sat on my lap for awhile this morning.

I don't rightly know. It was the sweet & spicy tuna that star-kist came out with. With a slice of cheese on top. and two tapioca snak paks.

hoo-rah for good days.

I had a lovely day, too. got past the distasteful part of defending a motion i don't agree with; finished recommendation letters for a student who wants to transfer to a better law school. Had an amazing IM with the Guy before a walk in this rare and glorious November day. I get to wrap it all up by going home to the place that I own, which is freshly painted and has newly delivered furniture in it and the last of a tangy, slightly effervescent and surprisingly well-priced table red.

I, too, had a good day - turns out a very local firm (as in 20 minutes walk from home) wants to interview me for a job here. Plus, it was gloriously sunny all day, and warm! I was sweating in my parka! (Seattle Weather Lesson One: no matter the day, don't leave home without your Trusty Parka), took pics of the beautiful Piscataqua River, then had six slices for six bucks, washed down with Milk Stout!

Delicious! Warm sun in November! Employment!

Um, the weather was gorgeous and it stopped raining. Can I talk about Tuesday, instead? I was driving through Princeton, and I saw my first black squirrel. That was cool. That, and the fall foliage. Oh, and live deer (I see too many lying by the road). Yes, for me, Tuesday was a great day.
